Wincor Nixdorf to supply 700 ATMs to the Chinese Post Office Bank Wincor Nixdorf has received another large order from China and is to supply the Chinese post office bank ‘China Postal Savings & Remittance Bureau’ (CPSRB) with 700 automated teller machines. The systems will be installed in branches across 18 provinces by 2006. Winning this order means Wincor Nixdorf, one of the world’s leading suppliers of IT solutions for bank branches and retail stores, is continuing to implement its expansion strategy in Asia. The bank has also selected other suppliers alongside Wincor Nixdorf as part of its procurement strategy under which the equipment is to be sourced from several manufacturers. With 700 systems, though, Wincor Nixdorf will be supplying the largest share of the cash machines. The key to this win was the company’s durability, reliable performance of the ATM and flexible ATM software which can be used without problems in various different IT environments, and also the reliability of the ATMs themselves. Part of Wincor Nixdorf’s global expansion strategy is to grow its business activities specifically in Asia. To do this, the Company is using its successful global production and development network to produce high-quality standard solutions in proximity to growth markets and to adapt these in line with requirements in the immediate area.
